Message No offense man, but I never would have given my college roommates (who were an awesome bunch of friends by the way) access to my spare key. That's something that should be given to a female, relative or should just be hidden. College age guys are great or whatever, but are also prone to practical jokes and such.

Protect yourself properly before getting mad at another person's predictable behavior. Just a thought ... I would have been mad too. Threaten to get them back when they least expect it. Make references to how horrible it will be and shake your head. Do this every day for a week or so and they'll start getting really worried... Here's what I did once ...

One time, my roommates stole all my clean underware and threw it out into our parking lot during a thunderstorm while I was in the shower. I basically told them that I don't get angry ... I get even. I kept making vague comments related to how bad my revenge would be - you know, the whole psychological buildup. They got really worried after a while and actually paid me off hoping that I would stop whatever revenge plans I was thinking about. I didn't. :)

The guy that spearheaded the raid on my clothes was obsessed with his $10 Oral-B toothbrush ... the thing had a massive handle. He named it "Big Blue" and was always talking to it (jokingly of course ... he wasn't actually crazy). Well, I borrowed Big Blue one night and used her to scrub out our shared toilet ... shared among the 8 guys in out dorm unit. Of course, I took a picture to remember the moment.

From that point on, any time they asked me about my revenge plans, I just shook my head and said that I was finished and they could only make it worse (that was by using the toothbrush of course). About 3 months later, I gave the guy the picture of the toothbrush ... he looked really sick. :) None of the guys never touched my stuff again.
